16 months

My baby girl is 16 months! She had her 15-month checkup yesterday and got her 12 month shots. Everytime we took her in she was sick and couldn't get the shots. Everything looked great and she got a good report! Her stats are:

Height: 33.2 inches (98%)
Weight: 25 lbs 11 oz (91%)
Head: I can't remember the circumference but it was (90%)

She has actually lost a pound in the last two months, but it looks like she is going to be a tall girl!

She is a busy girl. Always on the move - likes to run and she swings her left arm while running or walking. It's cute. She leaves a path of destruction wherever she goes. Just loves to pull things out, open drawers, dig in the plant and throw dirt all over the place, dump Rubie's food out or in the water bowl, etc. She keeps us on our toes.

She loves to be outside and is always standing at the door saying "out". We play a lot outside! She loves to swing and loves to do forward rolls. She can do them by herself which is pretty impressive. She also loves to get on our bed and pillow fight with Daddy. She just cracks up when they do this.

She says lots of words and adds new ones each day...juice, apple, rubie, mama, dada, bob, ball, haaalyn (harlyn), revell, call, ree ree (aunt kerri), lee lee (liam), cool (school), milk, more, cracker, bahh eee (barney), baby, hi, bye, out, up, rock rock, bus, car, truck, and i know there are others but that's all i can think of right now.
She knows lots of animal sounds, quack quack for duck, tweet tweet for bird, snap (with a loud clap) for alligator, rhaaa for lion or tiger, hop for frog, cock a dooizzle for rooster (that one is funny), ssss for snake, moo for cow. I'm sure there are others and i'm forgetting. she also loves to point out airplanes and waves to them with a big hi. she does zoom with her hands when you ask her what an airplane does.

she sings along and does the hand motions to itsy bitsy spider, if your happy and you know it (her favorite part is putting her fingers on her cheeks for the "face will surely show it part", the wheels on the bus go round and round, 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed (she gets her hip and finger going on the "no more monkeys" part). cracks us up!

loves barney, i mean really loves him. we watch it everyday in the car. she is obsessed and knows when certain parts are coming on and will hop along with the baby bop hop part or scream with delight and clap at the right times. super cute.

she says shhhhh with her finger over her lips everytime rubie is barking. she loves that dog. rubie has taking a liking to her too b/c Perry shares her snacks.

she still takes one bottle at night. she refuses to take milk out of a sippy cup so it's the only time i can get her to take it. she weened herself off of all of the other times so i'm going to see what happens this next month.

she loves all fruit, cherry tomatoes, turkey hotdogs, pasta, pretzels, and fruit snacks. her favorite cookie is an oreo. she is a pretty picky eater so we have wasted a ton of stuff trying to get her to eat. she likes to eat with a fork and feed herself. she insists on putting her sippy cup in the holder on her highchair tray after every sip. funny girl.

she has the cutest curly hair and it is long enough for ponytails and pigtails. yippee! she is in a size 51/2 shoe and wears all 24 month or 2t clothes. she does have a few 18-24 month clothes that still fit her good. she still wakes up in the night. not always, but most nights. she loves to feed her babies, blow bubbles, and play ball. she's got a good little arm on her too.

she loves to throw fits and it is so funny/sad to watch. she has learned what "no" means though which is good. she runs from me and hides whenever i try and change her diaper, clothes, etc. she loves to play chase and squeals with delight if you will chase her. she loves her cousins and plays so great with all of them. we wish we saw the ones in texas more!

she is still the sweetest little thing and we are so proud of her with each little milestone that comes along. she runs up to us and gives up the biggest hugs when we see her and it just melts your heart. she keeps us laughing and we just love her to pieces. she is growing up too quickly and we are trying to cherish each day, each moment, and each little everything with her.
