Little Miss at 6 weeks...

My daughter that is, because get this....she slept through the night last night!!! Woo hoo!!!! Just a day shy of 6 weeks old and she made it the whole night. I fed her at 10pm, she was down by 11:30 and she woke up at 6 am. I was really confused when I woke up b/c I couldn't remember if I had gotten up or what was going on. It felt great to sleep that long. I needed it. I know I'm totally jinxing this right now and I'm sure it was just a fluke, but I thought she earned bragging rights!

The last 2 pics are really funny to me.  My dad can get Perry to sleep better than anyone.  His "ticker" from his heart surgery puts her out!  She was screaming about 3 minutes before I took these pictures.  Looks like Poppy has the magic touch.

5 weeks

Well the weeks just keep on rolling by. Little Miss is 5 weeks now. She is such a pumpkin and we can't get enough of her!  I have no idea why these pictures are so small.

I was so happy to find out that our yard has tulips and daffodils springing up everywhere!  Here are Harlyn and Revell by one of the flower beds.  It was the best surprise!

Figuring it out

So we got a new camera way back in August and we still don't know how to use it.  My great friend Kelly, who is an amazing photographer, gave me some tips and pointers last week while she was here.  Thank you Kelly!  I was playing around yesterday and took these.  We obviously have a long way to go but we are taking baby steps here.  I was mainly trying to capture the light in her eyes to show what a pretty blue they are turning.  More to come!  

1 month

Sweet Perry is 1 whole month old today! She is still such a little pumpkin and she is changing so much. She is getting really strong holding her head up and she can actually focus on us now and gives us some smiles. :) She is still sleeping good, most nights are great and she is just waking up once to eat and we are going to try and start weeding that out soon. If only I could retain the information from the Baby Wise book. Don't get me wrong,  she likes to throw in a random up all night screaming fit sometimes - just to mix things up.  Here are some pics from the past week.

Fun with Friends

On Monday Perry got to meet some of her best buddies! Kelly came over with sweet 10 month old Annie, Maggie and Ted came over with cutie 3 month old Titus, Jayme came with precious 2 month old Ellie, and Aunt Stacey joined us which doubled the fun! We all met up over at our house and then took the babies to lunch at US Pizza. The circus was really well behaved I must admit. I was too busy loving on the babies to get a lot of pictures and when I was ready to get some pics, Little Miss was not having it. It was so wonderful to see everyone and their precious babies.  I feel so blessed to have these girls in my life.

Weekend Fun

This past weekend Emily, Kip and Deacon came to visit us! We had such a great time and Perry loved meeting them.  Deacon is 5 months and such a cutie!

3 weeks

Little Miss is 3 weeks today!  She finally lost her belly button stump - it took 3 weeks exactly.  Her tummy looks so cute!  We gave her a big girl bath and she loved it - she kicked and splashed and didn't cry at all.  This is a huge improvement from those terrible sponge baths she was getting.  She is still sleeping great at night - it's just hard to get her down.  I think we are moving her to her crib very soon.  =)

Perry looked so cute today in her dress and boots I just had to take some pics and share....poor baby girl has some skinny legs - her tights are baggy on her.  We need to get some chunk on those thighs asap!

The day we found out we were having a girl I went straight to Bloomingdale's and bought Perry this little outfit. The options were slim - it was in between seasons and they didn't have much of a winter selection but I really wanted to get her something. Today she wore the outfit!

She of course spit up all over outfit #1 so I had to change her into this little onesie number. It's 0-3 months and it's skin tight.  I guess it is getting retired after today.  Here are some pics in the swing.
